Best Ever Result for Trinity Girls at National Finals

Trinity Girls were awarded 3rd Prize at the National Brass Band Championships held last weekend 22/23rd September at Cheltenham Race Course.

3rd Prize is the best ever result for the Girls beating their previous best of 4th Place in Dundee a few years ago.

The Band are looking forward to participating in the North West Regional competition in March 2013 to see if they can qualify once again for the National Championships in September 2013.

Another Prize for Trinity Girls at Tameside Open

Trinity Girls took away 3rd Prize on Sunday 25th March 2012 at the Tameside Open Championships which took place at Dukinfield Town Hall.

2nd Prize at the Northern Open Championships

Trinity Girls received 2nd Prize today,  Sunday 20th November at the Northern Open Championships in St.Helen’s.  The Best Overall Soloist Prize was awarded to Principal Cornet player Gillian Hinckley and the Best Trombone Soloist Prize was awarded to Amy Freel.

Kiveton Community Woodland Festival Winners

The third Kiveton Community Woodland Brass Festival recently took place on the site of the old Kiveton Park Colliery, South Yorkshire.

Organised by the Yorkshire and Humberside Brass Band Association in partnership with Forestry Commission England, the site has been reclaimed to include a natural amphitheatre where the bands performed their 20-minute entertainment programme.

Open to 3rd/4th Section and unregistered bands the event had a full entry of twelve competitors who were adjudicated on by Mike Kilroy and entertainment judges Councillor Peter Blanksby and Brenda Bradley.
